There are many new technological developments in the medical field that require the use of controlled RF power for several advanced therapeutic treatments. Various levels of RF power at various frequencies are used in procedures such as microwave ablation (tumor destruction), electrosurgery (cut, coagulate, desiccate and fulgurate tissue), diathermy (treatment for rheumatoid arthritis) and thermage (skin rejuvenation). This session will cover innovative RF solutions that NXP has developed for these applications.
