Hi,

I have a question about RFU bits in the EEPROM for PN5180.

 - If you will use RFU bits in the EEPROM, the characteristic number(e.g. FW version, EEPROM version etc.) will change ?

Sincerely,

Hello @Shio_Tamba ,

Actually these addresses are read only, so would not change them at all.

Have a great day,
Kan

Hi,

This fact is already understanding.

I think that the RFU bits will use for the future function of the PN5180. (because RFU = reserved for future use.)

I guess that when you(NXP) assign the function to RFU bits, the specification numbers (e.g. FW version, EEPROM version etc.) will change of the PN5180 chip.

This is correct?

Hello @Shio_Tamba ,

Well, from my understanding, when RFU bits have a new definition, the firmware should also be updated.

Have a great day,
Kan
