Hi,
Please send a detailed explanation of the meaning of the kind of IC classifications: monolithic, hybrid, multichip, and multi-component.
I did my own conclusions (check below) based in my investigation of different internet pages, but there are too many different meanings for these classifications and I won’t really know what are your company meanings for these. This is my own conclusion are below, please let me know if these are wrong.
MULTICOMPONENT: single IC that performs multiple functions done by two or more devices (SBC).
MULTI-CHIP: multiple ICs assembled into a single device, all doing the same function. Analog and/or Digital.
HYBRID: multiple ICs assembled into a single device, but all doing the same function. Pure discrete (diodes and transistors).
MONOLITHIC: IC fabricated entirely on a single chip/single function
Based on this meanings, please find the attached document with the requested info.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Jose
