I'm contemplating using the PN7160 in a field-powered Card Emulation role using a low-power microcontroller as the host. I'm confused with the datasheet that has two Ibat sections and none of the entries seem to clearly apply. I understand to talk to a host, the Vdd(pad) must be present, and this would indicate Full-Power Mode (per section 11.1.1). I am thinking that the power state (11.1.2) would be Active, and the device is operating as a Listener. Therefore, the closest scenario might be "Idle and Target Active" state in Table 35 - 4.55mA typ.
Is there a clear "right" answer?
