PN532 - connecting to Android

I am using the NXP PN532 NFC device in a new project. It has been possible to establish peer-to-peer communication between two bits of hardware.

I have however not been able to establish a link to an Android phone.

After initializing the hardware as a Target and issuing a TgInitAsTarget. I get a response from the Andriod phone.

When I issue the TgGetData command, the status reply from the phone is “The PN532 configured as target has been released by its

initiator “
