Hi,

I am looking at using the PN5180 in our system for reading ISO 15693 RFID tags (ex. ICODE SLIX2).  The system will contain multiple antennas, using an RF switch to select the active antenna.  I followed Figure 48 in the datasheet for general setup, but the configuration of the antenna-side differs from our previous designs.  Our designs usually feature a single trace (controlled 50-ohm impedance) that connects to a coax connector, where the connector housing is connected to GND.  The external antenna board is then a simple loop antenna with tuning components, where one end of the loop is connected to the single RF coax wire and the other end is connected to GND (connector housing).

I have reviewed the AN11740 app-note, but could not find any reference to similar designs.  How should the schematic be modified to provide a single RF output that can be fed into an RF switch?

Thanks!

Hello @blovejoy

Hope you are doing well.

For antenna multiplexing, documentation available is secured under NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement), and therefore the information is not public and must be requested from the Secure Resources.

Please, check your inbox, I just sent you a private message.

Hello Eduardo,

I requested secure access for NFC readers and I can't find they antenna multiplexing documentation anywhere. Is it still available? Where can I find it?

Thank you,
Alexandros Andreou
