NHS3100 debugging error

Hi,

I'm just starting to work with the NHS3100 board, but have issues getting the NHS3100 debugging started in the lpcexpresso IDE. I've worked along the "getting started" guide, but get stuck at connect to emulator.

I have a Win 7 machine connected to a LPC link 2 rev B board which is connected to the NHS3100 demo board. Flashing with flash magic works. Drivers are installed.

Help appreciated!

Hi,

Possibly the LPC-Link2 board still contains the debugger firmware from Flash Magic. That one is incompatible with the debugger firmware LPCXpresso uses/expects. Can you power-cycle the board and try again?

Also, be sure to read:

  • <SDK>/docs/UM_NHS31xx_GettingStarted.pdf
  • <SDK>/docs/firmware.html > SW Debug Considerations

Good luck!

Hi,

I've got it working. It really seems like I had the wrong firmware on the LPC-Link board. As I run it in a virtual machine, the usb adapter renames itself and needs to be connected afterwards again.

Thank you for your help!
