Excessive Current for LPCD mode (CLRC663)

Hello,

I am assessing the CLRC663/plus for a battery-powered application. I am testing the LPCD mode with the evaluation kit (OM26630FDK -> CLEV6630B) and the current consumption is much higher than expected.

I am using 1000ms (as ON time) and 2 us (as OFF time). But I have tested also other timing configurations.

Current measured in VDD + TVDD (accross the jumpers) @ 3,3Vdc is no lesser than 200 uA.

¿Is this the typical current for LPCD?

¿Is there any missing setting?

In the datasheet the LPCD current is supposed to be between 3.3 uA and 12 uA.

Could you please help on finding the trick for using LPCD at rated datasheet currents: 3-12 uA.

Regards, Ramón.

Hi

Please remember that on the evaluation board we have a lot of other devices connected that can be affecting the measurement.

Also, I do not know if you already check the recommendation on the following application note

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11783.pdf

I hope this will help you

Regards

Vicente
