Dear Support
I'm trying to connect LCPLink 2 to FreeMaster 3.2.7.5, with config string :
(int=3;baddr=268439020;autoscan=1;laddr=0x10000000;haddr=0x10007fff;accto=40;respto=40;devid=0;dapid=0;DAP_Port=SW;DAP_SWJ=Y;DAP_Clock=1000000;),
but LPCLInk 2 is not recognized
However if:
1) I disconnect and reconnect LPCLINK to the USB than
2) I lunch LinkerServer with the command
C:\nxp\LinkServer_24.12.21>linkserver probes
INFO: Booting LPC-LINK 2 probe
# Description Serial Device Board
--- -------------------------- -------- -------- -------
1 LPC-LINK2 CMSIS-DAP V5.460 IWFWOTET
I see that LPCLink 2 is detected, and only at this point FreeMaster is able to recognize LPCLink 2
A) Is the the proper way to detect LPCLink 2.
B) Is it the same way in which MCULink work ? , I mean MCULink is automaticy detected by FreeMaster or I need to make it detectable by LinkServer ?
Regards
Paolo
Dear Paolo,
both MCU Link and LPC Link2 shall be detected as CMSIS-DAP device directly in FreeMASTER. Running the LinkServer shall not be needed. You just need to make sure the same device is not currently used by a debugger session. The CMSIS-DAP device cannot be shared by two client applications simultaneously.
The LinkServer may act as a gateway for multiple clients, so in this case you could theoretically use FreeMASTER AND a debugger simultaneously, but we have not tested this setup thoroughly.

Michal
Dear All
I found the problem. The LPCLink 2 had a JP1 open, so it was in boot mode. MCUXpresso and olso LinkServer are able to detect this situation an they send the CMSIS firmware in the LPC43xx RAM. Only after the this phase FreeMASTER is able to detect the probe. FreeMaster is not able to detect this situation, because it ha a generic driver for all CMSIS probe. I flashed the CMSIS firmware of the MCULink2 probe, via LPCScrypt using the batch file program_CMSIS, and finally I reboot the LPCLink 2 after closing JP1. Everything work now
Thanks
