MIFARE Plus EV1 (SL3) Wrong Sector Trailer access byte, Plain Communication broken

Hi everyone,

I'm working with a Mifare Plus EV1 card in SL3. While configuring the sector trailer access bytes, I accidentally set an incorrect value, and now plain communication no longer works for that sector.
If the access bit pattern (C1/C2/C3) itself is still valid and only Byte 5 (PlainAC) is misconfigured, is re-authenticating and rewriting Byte 5 enough to fix plain communication? Or does a plain-communication failure alone also risk triggering the format-violation lock?
Has anyone dealt with this before — any workaround, or is treating the sector as permanently unusable the only realistic option?
