Hi NXP,
I want a quick clarification that without "RESETing" the GD3162 registers via Mode2 ,can the fault bits be cleared by writing "1" to the particular register bits?? Or is the fault clearing mech only limited to POR_1, POR_2 and BIST_FAIL??

Hello Akshat_VE02376
Good day!
Yes, fault bits can be cleared by writing a "1" to the corresponding STATUS1/STATUS2 bit without using MODE2.RESET, provided the underlying fault condition has disappeared.
The mention of POR_1, POR_2, and BIST_FAIL in the datasheet is not a limitation. It is highlighting that even those bits, which might otherwise seem special, are also cleared by the write-one-to-clear mechanism.
I recommend you take a look at another case from the community that I think is related and might help you with future questions.
"All faults can be cleared by writing a '1' to the corresponding bit in the associated STATUSx register."

I hope this information has helped you, please let me know if you need help with anything else.
Have a great day and best of luck.
