IMX 8QM not booting from SD Card

HI i am trying to boot an linux image from sd card in my IMX8QM EMK board . im not using a mini SD card its a mini sd card adapter. and when i check my terminal i get these   

=> mmc dev 1
Card did not respond to voltage select! : -110  

please help me to get this fixed as i am new in this types of boards

Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products,

The error you are facing is related to hardware most of the time, I would recommend testing with other adapters and other SD cards as well.

Another issue could be that the hardware of the adapter does not adhere to uSDHC standard. My main advice would be to use a microSD card UHS-I preferably, I have tested card initialization and Linux booting on these cards.

Re: IMX 8QM not booting from SD Cardokay let me try with that one. i am not sure if its the SD card adapter issue.image is written into the micro SD card i have verified it in my desktop . card is alive and being detected by my desktop , anyways let me check , any other solutions??
