BT HF is not working by using NXP sd8987 wifi+BT combo module in android OS

Hi,

I am using NXP chip sd8987 (M2-JODY-W263-10C) with TI soc am62p. I am using android OS. a2dp is working, but hands free is not working. I have only 1 codec speaker.
is there anything to be taken care from the pin perspective of M2-JODY-W263-10C (sd8987) module.

Can you please let me know what is your Android version?

Did you use PCM/I2S interface for SCO on SD8987 M2-JODY-W263-10C module?

Could you please provide me a full log from booting up your device and including the full A2DP connected but HFP could not work process?

Hi Christine,

I'm not using the pcm/i2s pin. Software HFP path over UART.

I'm using TI am62p soc android version 16. 
Attached the bluetooth_manager log.

Thanks for your dumpsys and your information.

From your dumpsys, I see that the RFCOMM is already opened, and SCO is created successfully, also the handler has already been initiated.

To debug further, can you please help to provide me:

1.Bluetooth HCI snoop log including the whole process including the full connection, A2DP connected but HFP could not work process?

On Android, you can capture HCI logs by enabling Bluetooth HCI snoop log in Developer Options , toggling Bluetooth once to start capture, and then exporting the log with adb .

Steps:

1. Open Developer Options
2. Enable Bluetooth HCI snoop log
3. Toggle Bluetooth off and on once
4. Trying to reproduce the issue.
5. Pull the log file with ADB commands.

adb shell dumpsys media.audio_policy > audio_policy.txt

adb shell dumpsys media.audio_flinger > audio_flinger.txt

adb logcat -b all -d > logcat_log.txt (from booting up your device)
