We are using the FS32K144UAVLL with a 20 MHz crystal oscillator, a 10 pF matching capacitor, and a 1 MΩ load resistor. The crystal oscillator outputs a single-ended 20 MHz sine wave to ground with a 0.5 Vp-p amplitude. The MCU cannot run the program when using the external crystal oscillator, but it works fine when using the internal crystal oscillator.
Using the development board software, the FS32K144HFVL development board, with an 8 MHz crystal oscillator, a 22 pF coupling capacitor, and a 1 MΩ load resistor; the crystal oscillator outputs a single-ended 8 MHz sine wave with a peak-to-peak voltage of 1 V.
May I ask:
1. What is the difference between the FS32K144UAVLL and the FS32K144HFVL? Can the same program be used for both? Do they require the same external crystal oscillator?
2. What is the acceptable amplitude for the external crystal oscillator of the FS32K144UAVLL?
3. How do I adjust the amplitude of an external crystal oscillator?
Thank you!
Hi @YF666666
In Section 4 of the S32K1xx Data Sheet, it is noted that a core frequency of 112 MHz is not supported for the M temperature range (–40°C to 125°C).
I recommend referring to the S32K1xx_Orderable_Part_Number_List.xlsx, which is attached to the data sheet, to verify the available part numbers and identify the options that meet your requirements.

Does the FS32K144UAT0VLLT have a clock speed of 112 MHz and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C?
We use it in automobiles, which require an automotive-grade temperature range of -40° to +125°,
The chip model has been changed to FS32K144UAT0MLLT, with a clock speed of 112 MHz and an LQFP100 package. Is this the correct model?
If the model number is incorrect, please send us the correct one. Thank you!
