Please help me understand what caused the issue.

Hello @cszhang,
Thanks for reaching out to us. About your problem, could you let me know the RTD version your are using? and if you can debug any of the examples?
Thanks.
The RTD is
and I tested
the E2 to JTAG connector, has a 33-ohm resistor on board,
Hello again @cszhang,
You can check our recommendations for the FS86 in section 3.1 Power supply recommendation of the S32E HW Design Guidelines, also you can see how the S32E EVB is using the FS86 in the Design Files for the S32E288-975EVB.
Note that the design files are missing the schematics pdf, if you require that file please open a private support ticket using the following steps Tutorial for NXP Support Case Portal. If you do so please include the link to this post and my username so that we ensure I handle the ticket, then I can send you the file.
In any case, please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Hello @cszhang,
Thanks for all the information. I will need to check if S32DS 3.6.7 works with RTD 2.0.1, the official supported version is 3.6.1:
However, following the AN12530, using 33 ohm resistors is not the best approach, the recommended connections shown in section 7 Example schematics show 0 ohm resistors in series:
Please try using 0 ohm resistors and let me know if the behavior changes.
If the problem persists, please share the state of the BOOTMOD pins in your board.
Thanks.
