RFID Tag wrong datasheet

We want to use SL3S1013FTB0,115 tag in our product. However, when we click to open the data sheet, it opens SL3S1003_1013's datasheet. It's so confusing, and I wasted a lot of time with this confusion.

My question is whether SL3S1013FTB0 and SL3S1003_1013 are the same? If yes, why have two different part numbers for a single part? It's really frustrating and a waste of time for us. i

Re: RFID Tag wrong datasheet

The IC type is different. In the Chapter 4 Ordering Information,  you can see the SL3S1013 is G2iM+. The SL3S1003 is G2iM.

You are the different part and ask me to refer to 4. So what is the difference between SL3S1013FTB0,115 and SL3S1003_1013? Only packaging?

Re: RFID Tag wrong datasheet

SL3S1003_1013 is the name of the datasheet. It means it is the datasheet of  SL3S1003 and  SL3S1013.  The SL3S1013 is G2iM+. The SL3S1003 is G2iM.  The UCODE G2iM+ offers on top of the UCODE G2iM features an integrated tag tamper alarm, digital switch, external supply mode, data transfer mode and real read range reduction. A special feature is the conditional, automatic real read range reduction, where the activation condition can be defined by the user, is newly introduced in the UCODE G2iM+. When connected to a power supply, the READ as well as the WRITE range can be boosted to a sensitivity of -27 dBm.

The UCODE G2iM+ also allows the segmentation of the 640 bit User Memory in up to three segments (open, protected, private) with different access levels (Access- and User Password). For applications which require a longer EPC number the UCODE G2iM+ offers the possibility of up to 448 bit.

Re: RFID Tag wrong datasheet

My questions are as follows:

  • Your comment: A special feature is the conditional, automatic real read range reduction, where the activation condition can be defined by the user, is newly introduced in the UCODE G2iM+.

My question: How can we reduce the UCODE G2iM+ read range? I’m asking this because there are no serial communication lines available to connect to the MCU, so I don’t know how we can control the read range.

  • Your comment: When connected to a power supply, the READ as well as the WRITE range can be boosted to a sensitivity of -27 dBm.

My question: I have attached the pinouts and connections of UCODE G2iM+. How this read and write is done? Is it through the RFID connection?

  • The UCODE G2iM+ offers on top of the UCODE G2iM features an integrated tag tamper alarm, digital switch, external supply mode, data transfer mode and real read range reduction.

My question: can you please explain integrated tag tamper alarm, digital switch, external supply mode, data transfer mode, and real read range reduction modes? The reason is that I would like to see how I can utilize those features in my product.

  • My question: Please see the attached picture. The self-powered RFID transponder connection. Please let me know if this connection will result in 2V to 5V Vout from RFID energy harvesting.

Re: RFID Tag wrong datasheet

im still waiting for an answer. NXP should know how to use their product, and that's what I want to know. I have two more questions.

1) In a self-power RFID transponder, what is the voltage range at the OUT?

2) In an external-power RFID transponder, what is the voltage range at the OUT?
