Hello @_arthur_, hope you are doing well.
Unfortunately the Zigbee stack is not supported for Zephyr with the RW612, it is only available with our SDK and enabling Zigbee support would require for you to manually port the stack.
Sorry for the inconveniences.
Hello Roman, thank you for your feedback.
It appears that the situation is the same as with the TFM feature: it is not implemented in Zephyr, and there are no plans to support it, even though the RW612 is advertised as supporting both TFM and Zigbee, with Zephyr highlighted in the "OS and RTOS" section of the RW612 webpage.
For anyone reading this thread, I would not recommend following NXP’s suggestion to use Zephyr at this stage. Zephyr still seems to be in an experimental phase on their side. It seems more practical to continue using the legacy SDK with FreeRTOS, even if Zephyr is presented as the future direction.
While Zephyr is a strong marketing initiative, it currently slow down development, and this topic is a good illustration of that. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case—for example, TFM is also not supported with Zephyr. Moreover, unless you are a major tech company, obtaining meaningful support can be very difficult.
Unfortunately, we have already spent weeks developing our firmware on Zephyr, and we are now stuck without the flexibility to switch to FreeRTOS.
