Hi,
we need to connect 2.5G SGMII interface to LX2162A processor. Is it possbile directly?
In LX2162A reference manual is written that it supports only 1G SGMII however there is USXGMII interface with 2.5G bouadrate. Is it possible to connect 2.5G SGMII to 2.5G USXGMII directly?

USXGMII and 2.5G SGMII are not directly compatible because they are designed for different Ethernet speeds and use different encoding schemes.
To support 2.5Gbps device to LX2162A, an external PHY that converts 2.5G with the line-side interface to USXGMII is required.
