smartdma information of how it works

Hi, i bought a MCXN947 and LCD-parallel-S035 , in the sdk examples you use a new feature called SMARTDMA. It is being quite hard to understand its behavior , and the reference manual is not easy to understand this subject, could you please tell me what is the best document source of this in order to understand in detailed.
