Create frame buffer without hdmi device

• Processor: iMX8M
• System: Yocto with Wayland 

I would like to play video immediately after the system starts. However, I encounter a problem when the HDMI cable isn't connected during system startup. In this situation, a frame buffer isn't created, which is correct in the normal situation. I can't start playing such situation.  Is there any way to create a frame buffer with specified resolution without detecting the HDMI device? The approach should continue to play the video after connecting the cable on a compatible screen.

Unfortunately no, for video to continue to be played needs a sink (display).
