S32K312 default example, why is the core clock 160MHz, not 120MHz ?

Hi ,

Our project uses s32k312 as the MCU.

RTD2.0.0

The core_clk is 120MHz in reference manual.

when I open the default example, I discover the CORE_CLK is 160MHz, not 120MHz, why?

Hi @Nitrogen8212,

In S32K312, CORE_CLK=160Mhz can still run, but it is not recommended, as there will be unknown risks. You can see this was changed in later versions of the RTD packages of S32DS 3.5 RTD3.0.0 & 4.0.0:
