Our older versions of the toolbox have installers (.exe format), but our newer versions use MATLAB mltbx format. This format has been introduced to make distribution of toolboxes easy. All you have to do is open the .mltbx file with MATLAB and follow the instructions that pop-up.
The file itself is a zip-file, but has a preset configuration so that MATLAB add-on manager knows how to install it. It has a folder fsroot that holds all the files within the toolbox.
You can use this video as a walk-through for the installation - it is for a previous version, but it uses the new format 'installer' - the .mltbx file.
