Errors Deploying Examples to iMX RT1170 EVKB Evaluation Kit

I am trying to use NXP’s Model Based Design Toolbox to quickly deploy an existing design to an i.MX RT1170-EVKB Evaluation Kit. I have collected what I believe to be the totality of the stack required to achieve this and to verify that it is all working properly I would like to deploy one of the examples that comes with it. (For clarity I have already deployed an example using the SDK directly.) I have chosen the “evkmimxrt1170_gpio_interrupt” as the example to model to deploy. In trying to deploy the model the first issue I encounter is with the model check failing with “Dot indexing is not supported for variables of this type.” If I bypass the model checks I receive a “Failure in generate_configuration_code(0) : MEX code generation: Failed to generate configuration files” which then inline with expectation gives complaints in compile about missing includes.

Can you describe the steps you took to make it work? What MATLAB do you use? What IMXRT toolbox version did you install? 

I've tried on a fresh toolbox installation in MATLAB R2024b and R2025b. I was able to generate the code for the evkmimxrt1170_gpio_interrupt example without any change.
