I am working with S32K3 using MBDT (Model-Based Design Toolbox) and S32 Configuration Tools v1.8.
I would like to understand the recommended approach for bulk GPIO / DIO pin configuration.
Current Observation
- In the Pins Tool, it is not possible to multi-select or bulk-select MCU pins using Ctrl / Shift.
- Each pin needs to be configured individually through the UI.
- DIO configuration is derived from the Pins (PORT) configuration, not directly from the DIO driver.
Questions
- Is bulk pin configuration (GPIO direction, pull-up/down, initial level) supported in the S32 Configuration Tools v1.8 UI?
- If UI-based bulk selection is not supported, what is the recommended and supported workaround?
- Export Pins to CSV and re-import using Data Manager?
- Import AUTOSAR ECU configuration (ARXML)?
- For MBDT-based projects, is Export Configuration (*.mex) sufficient after updating pin configurations?
- Is there any plan to support multi-pin selection or bulk editing in future releases?
Any guidance or best practices from NXP or experienced users would be appreciated.
