PHY, USB VNIC and WiFi

Hello Community,

I could use some help getting these several interfaces working together with MQX 4.1.1.  Right now I have a working phy project and just added the virtual_nic example into it.  I get an error in VNIC_FEC_Init() when initializing ENET which brings the whole system down with it.  Is there something I have to do to get both interfaces going?  Maybe there's some overlap that needs to be removed from the virtual_nic code.  I also plan on adding a SPI based WiFi module soon after this.

Hi Michael,

I think the problem in your case is that the example is configuring Fast Ethernet Controller module and then you are reconfiguring it causing the example to fail.

Please note that this example is intended to enumerate as a network and it will forward all traffic form Ethernet to USB and viceversa.

E.g. If your PC does not have Ethernet port but USB you can connect K60 with Virtual NIC demo to your PC and in the Ethernet port of K60 you can conenct Ethernet cable. So your PC will be connected to the network through K60. But this is all in application layer.

There are new versions of this example with readmefile in MQX4.2 (C:\Freescale\Freescale_MQX_4_2\usb_v2\example\device\cdc\virtual_nic), I strongly recommend to take a look to it.
