If I incorporate MFS (MQX File System) into a product to use with FATFS disks, do I need to pay Microsoft for a FAT license ? (FAT File System)
I am guessing the answer is yes, since I can't find any information on the Freescale website to the contrary.

It appears that use of FATFS no longer requires a license from Microsoft, I guess now that all the patents related to FATFS have expired.
Instead, Microsoft offer licensing for exFAT.
