Hi,

i create custom embedded system based on Yocto Zeus. I run core-image-minimal od IMX8mm processor in my deweloper boards. I run DNF packet manager and succesfully upgrade my modules on device (small programs that makes device usable).

After running image on device i need to make some changes in kernel (run menuconfig and add some drivers). It looks like DNF upgrade kernel but nothink is change, driver to i2c eeprom device still dont run. Ill double check generated image and after reprograming device witch new image (with UUU) i2c driver work as i expect. I need to make DNF work, i cant get clients devices every time.

DNF see changes in every bitbake and make upgrade every time without error (ill try to run upgrade by HTTPserver and local from file). After bitbkae i always run "bitbake package-index" and make upgrade just like describes on link .

Can DNF fully upgrade kernel?

In my case DNF doesnt upgrade packages compiled into kernel. If i choose driver as a module i can succesfully upgrade my system. My problem doesnt have answer yet, but i can upgrade kernel in another way.
