I recently downloaded the MQX 4.0 release, and the release notes refer to availability of a flash translation layer (FTL) in the new version. The release notes say that this is available as a separate package. I haven't been able to locate it on freescale's website. Any idea when it is planned for release?

Hi V.K.,
MQX has a flash driver called FlashX that is used to access the on-chip flash for the various supported MCU's.
You can look at example:
C:\Freescale\Freescale_MQX_4_0\mqx\examples\flashx
You can look at the driver source code:
C:\Freescale\Freescale_MQX_4_0\mqx\source\io\flashx\freescale
Or download the baremetal Flash Drivers from web:
C90TFS_FLASH_DRIVER: TFS Flash Driver Software for Kinetis and ColdFire+ Microcontrollers.
Size (K): 9687 Format: exe Rev #: 0.3.3 Modified: 10/17/2012
Hope this helps.

David
Hi David,
I'm looking for a flash translation layer for external NAND/NOR flash memories and then host MFS or any other file system on top of it.
