52259 auto negotiation problem?

Hi,

I think the 52259evb has auto negotiation problems with 1Gb switch's, is this a known issue, or is there a solution? I have found other products from freescale have similar problems.

I only have 2 x 1Gb switch's to test on, and both will not work. I dont know what else I can do from here. 

I have no problems on any 10/100Mb switchs I have tested on.

I have just tested this on MQX3.5 and this is still a problem.

Anyone had a similar problem, or, do you know how to force it to work?

I have designed a board that uses the micrel KZ8873MLL (dual port switch) or the micrel KZ8041 (same as the M52259DEMO).

The KZ8041 works fine with a gigabit switch but the KZ8873MLL  does not. The problem is with the auto-negotiation.

I am new to MQX and I am having trouble finding out where the register's are set-up. I am using the KZ8041 files to drive the KZ8873MLL. How do I write to the registers through the M11 port?

Problem solved!

The ISET resistor was the incorrect value for the chip. Once it was changed all is well.
