SPC5748G flexlin LIN example

I am using the S32 SDK with the SPC5748G devkit and I have setup the linflexd_uart_echo example which works but I really need to use this peripheral as a LIN peripheral, i.e. transmit header as master and receive slave response.

Does the SDK support configuration of this peripheral as linflexd_lin (as opposed to linflexd_uart)? I don't see it as a component within S32 IDE either.

Thanks

Tony

Hi Tony,

this was already discussed here some time ago:

https://community.nxp.com/t5/S32-SDK/MPC57XX-EAR-SDK-LIN-Master-Slave-Example-Project/m-p/890681#M95...

and I'm afraid this has not been changed. There's no LIN support in the SDK for MPC5748G.

Lukas

Thanks Lukas

Can you confirm that the hardware supports LIN coms and it's just the SDK hasn't included it.  Or there is some bigger reason why the SDK team omitted such a basic peripheral demo application?

Many thanks for your support on these topics as I try get all the peripherals I need up and running.

Rgds

Hi Tony,

I'm sorry, I didn't get notification about new message due to some system issues. Probably too late but maybe for others: yes, LIN is supported by hardware, it's just not supported by SDK for some reasons. From reference manual: "The LINFlexD supports LIN protocol version 1.3, 2.0, 2.1 , and 2.2. "

Lukas
