Replacing MPC535 with MPC536

Hi,

we have an old product with uses the obsolete MPC535. We got a batch of electrically compatible MPC536 to use instead. I know it is also obsolete. My question is, are binaries for the MPC535 compatible to the MPC536. As I understand it, the only difference is that the MPC536 can use code compression but must not. So I hope that the default setting are the same for both controller so that the binaries don't have to be recompiled.

Hi Torben,

yes, your binaries are compatible. The only difference is that MPC536 has code compression feature. The rest is exactly the same.
