MPC574XG CPU is locked

Hi

I have a problem with MPC574XG(Calypso),  the CPU is locked! “debug port fail” due to censorship.

The debugger is Trace32 from Lauterbach, this is the error informantion:

according to the debugger_mpc5500.pdf on Trace32, we think the CPU might be locked.

We also tried to enter the keycode to unlock it, but failed.

Can you help me to fix this? or any suggestions?

Did you play with UTEST memory area where censorship is stored?

I think yes. the board was downloaded with a wrong elf by someone else, which may edit this UTEST part.

If this is the case, then there is way to recover from this state.

You have to replace microcontroller.

I am having a similar problem after incorrectly modifying part of the UTEST region. Although, mine does not show any additional information other than "debug port fail". Can I still recover the device?

I would try to decrease debugger frequency to 1MHz

Although I don't know the reason it helps to me as I have the same problem with certain devices.
