Hello,

I work with SPC5674FK0MVY3 microcontroller. When I look MPC5674RM_Rev7 in page 1-3, there is a sentence after table of comparison "eTPU2 only available on revision 2 release of device."

Then I find my revision from my number of microcontroller "SPC5674FK--0--MVY3" . According to datasheet my revision is 0.

Until this time I thought working on eTPU2. How can I be sure?

Also I have a development board. On this board I have "SPC5674FMVY3", but there is no revision number in this part. (If other additional information is important here there 3M17W, QCG1805G)

I need a solution for the uncertainty.

Best regards,

Erdinc

  1. Is there a microcontroller belonging to the MPC5674F series that is not eTPU2 (eTPU only)?

- Rev 1, but has been only pre-production device, customers should not get in contact with such devices. This is mature product for long time.

  1. Model SPC5674FAMVY3 is also included in the datasheet. But how will I find out about this mask without buying it?

- It is either mask 3M17W or 0N31E (without further specification), in both case chip revision 2.3.

  1. Is there a list where I can access this mask information you have? Because I don't have the product and I want to buy it, but I can't be sure about the mask identifiers. When I go to purchasing sites, only the part number is written. I need detailed information here, but I could not find such content on NXP's website.

- There is lot of options for this device, ordering part you may find on our web and mostly they do have mask identifier included in ordering number.

  1. Should I get technical support every time I need revision information?

- I don't think it is necessary every time, but in case of confusion you can contact us, we are here for you.

Firstly, thank you for your reply.
I have a few more questions.

  1. Is there a microcontroller belonging to the MPC5674F series that is not eTPU2 (eTPU only)?
  2. Model SPC5674FAMVY3 is also included in the datasheet. But how will I find out about this mask without buying it?

In MPC5674F Datasheet , page 3 "Table 1. Orderable Part Numbers", there are 18 part numbers.

Can you share revision list for them? @davidtosenovjan

mask => Revison
2M17W => 2.2
3M17W => 2.3
0N31E => 2.3

3M17W and 0N31E differs in manufacturing facility.

What is stated in DS, in somehow weirdly described, I will report it as documentation error as

"Revision of Silicon
3 = Rev 3 (ATMC)
0 = Rev 0 (TSMC14)"

because Rev 0 as stated here is actually latest one.

'F3' and 'K0' are mask identifiers.

SPC5674FK0MVY3 is mask 0N31E. Your second device is mask 3M17W.

Both are equivalent and both chips are revison 2 thus included eTPU2 module.

Thanks for answer.
How do you determine of revision of these microcontollers? Do you have any link?
