Can I add CAN-FD and Basic CAN on same network ?

Hi

I had a doubt if I can add Basic CAN nodes and CAN-FD nodes on same network. Can I send messages from CAN-FD to Basic CAN? As per my understanding we can but wanted to make sure.

Hi

After reading more about CAN and CAN-FD, I came to the conclusion that Basic CAN and CAN-FD can be present on same network and can communicate to one another provided CAN-FD is sending the Basic CAN frame. If Basic CAN Node detects CAN-FD frame , It will start transmitting error frames so no Node will be able to receive the CAN_FD frame.
