PN7160 interfacing with ESP32 S3 MCU

I have developed an NFC reader based on the PN7160 and have not been able to progress with the firmware and make it work. I am interfacing it to ESP32 S3 MCU as the host controller. I have been using the attached material as reference but with no success:

The code seems to work fine but I could not read an NFC tag despite placing it above the antenna. See attached log

Unfortunately matters related to the use of third party hosts and modules are out of our support scope. However, I would suggest taking a look at section 11.2 of the PN7160 Data Sheet to get further details on the functional description of the I2C interface, and ensure a proper addressing of the device is taking place.

You could try basing your implementation on the available "PN7160 NXP-NCI MCUXpresso Example Project" which you can find at the product page. Please refer to the NXP-NCI2.0 MCUXpresso examples guide in which you will find a detailed description on how to use the examples with tools like MCUXpresso IDE , but it could be a good starting point.

I would also suggest referring to the manufacturer of the module to see if there is any software example available for the device.
