Multiple Face detection with MCXN947 - Error on image

Hi, I’m trying to run the “Multiple Face Detection on MCXN947” application from NXP Application Code Hub. The application is running, but the camera image is not being captured correctly. I can see some pixels and a faint outline of my face, but the image is highly distorted and not clear enough for proper recognition. Could this be caused by an issue with the camera rework/soldering or the camera signal connections? I have already followed the recommended camera rework procedure (SJ16, SJ26, and SJ27).

Thanks for your post. You may find some helpful tips in Vision ML with the FRDM-MCXN947, which could be useful for addressing this issue. 

1. After POR there may be some glitching on the camera due to the fact the camera is expecting 2.8V but the board is at 3.3V and the initial HSYNC signal was missed. Press the reset button (SW1) and it should fix any camera issue.

2. Please confirm the OV7670 camera is plugged into J11 (not J9) and the LCD-PAR-S035 is connected to J12

3. Confirm correct solder jumper orientation for SJ16, SJ26, and SJ27

Hello,

Yes, a distorted image with missing pixels or a faint outline can definitely still be caused by hardware soldering, connection issues, or partial contact, even if you have correctly flipped solder jumpers SJ16, SJ26, and SJ27 from side A to side B.
