Dear NXP Engineer,
We are currently seeking a replacement part for the MC33GD3100EK. We noted in its datasheet that the MC33GD3100EK's VDD pin can be used to supply power to external circuits. Consequently, our design utilizes this pin to provide power to the secondary side of our sensing circuitry.
As NXP advises against using the MC33GD3100EK for new designs, we are considering the MC33GD3100BEK as its replacement. We would therefore appreciate your advice on the following:
- Design Change Requirement: Can we directly replace MC33GD3100EK with MC33GD3100BEK?
- Pin Compatibility & Risk Assessment: Can the MC33GD3100BEK's VDD pin safely be used to supply the sensing circuitry without adversely impacting the driver board?
