kw45 CAN Reception

Hello NXP Team,

I am working with the KW45B41Z-EVK board, and my goal is to implement CAN communication (both transmit and receive) on this BLE board

I have modified the flexcan_interrupt_transfer example by removing the dependency on a second node and attempted bidirectional communication. However, only the transmit functionality works correctly.

Additionally, when using the original flexcan_interrupt_transfer project and sending frames from a CAN traffic generator (with the same frame ID and CAN channel configured for reception), the board still does not receive any frames.

In both cases, the issue is that the board is unable to receive CAN frames. Could you help me identify the possible cause and guide me on resolving this?

Could you help us describing the modifications implemented in the code?

Could you help us confirm the following:

Which SDK version are you using?

Are you using 1 KW45B41Z-EVK board or 2 boards? Is the example without modifications working using 2 KW45B41Z-EVK as intended?

Does the KW45B41Z-EVK has the 12V power supply on J9 to supply P5V_CAN?

Could you share the terminal view when running the example? It would be highly appreciated

Hi,

Sorry to bother, first of all the issue is resolved. Seems like the issue with the traffic generator which I am using was faulty and not able to transmit frames on the bus.

Apart from that right now the rx is working properly. Thanks for the quick response though.
