An issue when creating project for device MKL13

Hi,

We have a home made board which has a mcu MKL13Z64. I generated a SDK for the MCUXpresso IDE and everything is just fine. 

However, when I create a new project on the IDE, I need to choose a target board. There is no available board for KL1x. It seems that I can instead choose one of KL4x boards, frdmkl43z and twrkl43z48m. 

The KL1x and KL4x are similar chips except some peripheral ports. 

Can I develop the code on this and debug with my own home made board?

Just created a project with MKL13Z64 without a target board. I will give a try.

Hello Jieqiu,

As there is no demo board for MKL13Z64, so there is no available board for it .

I recommend you choose the right chip to development .

Of course some example of FRDM-KL43 can run on MKL13Z64, while when create new

project , the header file not the same.

Thank you for your help. 

I have another question. MKL13Z64 has a ROM bootloader. It seems that it has to use LPUART0 on PTA1 and PTA2.  However, on my board, the hardware engineer designed to let LPUART0 use PTD6 and PTD7. Does the ROM bootloader still work with some kind of reconfiguration?

The ROM bootloader is read-only, so we can reconfiguration it.
