SWO performance understanding

Hello, 

I am monitoring a ADC signal on SWO Data  Watch, and I got this:

what is the reason, the sine wave below has these sawtooth?  the input signal is very clean. If I use printf to send out the ADC signal via UART to PC serial terminal, I also can get a very clean sine wave.  It is obviouly not the ADC conversion problem.

Only with SWO, I always got these sawtooth wave, and the data loss is also terrible. 

p.s. the input frequency is only 10Hz

How about refer to the guide <MCUXpresso_IDE_SWO_Trace> to change the configuration settings to test.

I tried many times the "default settings", it won't help. 

I think I didn't get the function principle of SWO correctly. 

for PRINTF, I send the signal out only actively. But by the SWO, the "system" alway tracking down the signal but the sampling time is unclear (when? how often?)

Can you please let us know what MCUX IDE version do you use, what target/device and what debug probe? We want to reproduce the problem.

My HW:  RT1170EVK

SW IDE MCUXpresso 11.5.0
