MCUXpresso + Jlink - Cannot convert encoding

Using MCUXpresso 11.9 (updating to 11.10 gives errors with -ffreestanding), when trying to attach a Jlink probe to my board (iMXRT1024), the GDB console gives the following warning:

warning: could not convert 'main' from the host encoding (CP1252) to UTF-32.

This normally should not happen, please file a bug report

MCUXpresso IDE v11.9.0 [Build 2144] [2024-01-05]

The result of this, I believe, is that whenever I attempt to preform a pause or hit a breakpoint, the operation times out, effectively rendering the builtin debugging useless.

I have right clicked in the console window and attempted to change the settings to force unicode encoding, but that did not solve the problem.

Is there a solution for this?

Thank you for your interest in the NXP MIMXRT product, I would  like to provide service for you.

I recommend you to verify from the following points：

1：I suggest you always create a new workspace when update the MCUXPresso IDE. 

     and import your projects, please do not continue using the older workspace.

2: I suggest you try to Clean the project, and rebuild it. 

3:  Please delete launch file, and debug again.
