How to get debugger to work?

Hello, I'm sorry but this is a newbie question.  I've loaded the MCUXpresso IDE (Using a MCUXpresso824 Max board).

I thought the built-in debugger for this board would connect through the board's USB cable.  When I invoke "Debug" from the Quickstart panel I get a message "No compatible probes available...."

How do I configure the debugger?
