In the recent Tech day, we discover that when we tried to create a new configuration in the Offline Config Tool v3.0, we unable to see the saved SDK folder whether it is zip or unzip. Only when we connect to internet, the file could be see.
Pls review why the offline tools need to be online before the files at the computer could be access.
Thanks.
Hello Audery,
Please check the below responds from MCUXpresso Config Tools team:
"
The tool is initially installed without the data for MCUs and board and the data are downloaded on-demand via internet. Once the processor/board is used once, it's cached and you don't need internet connection anymore.
It's described in the tools documentation too - once you create a configuration, use the command help > contents and find chapter Introduction / versions.
If it's required to work complete offline, the data can be exported on one computer using File > Export... > Program data and manually copied (e.g. using flashdisk) between computers from/to folder c:\ProgramData\NXP\mcu_data_v3 .
"

Have a great day,
TIC
