LX2160A Memory Controller speed/clock

Finally managed to get out LX2160ARDB up and running.

It shouldn't be that difficult, but that's a conversation for another day.

Question about memory controller frequency.

What is the max frequency? The system seems to say it's running at 700 MHz at boot. 

How does one go about changing the speed.

The reason I ask is that the first test we ran on it shows a processor that is severely memory access bound. (changing the CPU freq from 2 GHz to 1 GHz makes absolutely no difference to the processing time).
