Hi,

I want to enable SFP devices in the NXP 2160 (dpmac.5 and dpmac.6), so we use ls-addni to add dpmac.5 and dpmac.6. After that, optical fiber is used to connect NXP 2160 to the switch. But from another machine sending some packets to NXP 2160, nothing happen !

The dpmac.5 and dpmac.6 could be represented by eth2 and eth3, then ifconfig eth* up was executed. From the /dev/fsl_mc_console, the output shows that :

[E, event_linkup_fixed:915, DPMAC]  ID[5]: Internal physical link is down

[E, event_linkup_fixed:915, DPMAC]  ID[6]: Internal physical link is down

  Thanks !

Some technical staffs said the NXP 2160 (this development board) do not support inserting the 10G SFP+ module into the 25G optical interface. It is not clear whether this statement is correct.

Would you please provide u-boot, Linux Kernel booting up logs and dts file?

In addition, please provide the result of "mdio list" command in u-boot.

Dear Wang,

Thanks ! The attachments are some logs but the dts file was not found in the NXP 2160 device. So the /proc/cmdline output is given that maybe helpful.

SFP devices are wanted to use, and we have utilized 10G SFP+ module to do the experiment. Gives me the feeling that the current compiled kernel does not support the SFP driver. The standard iso "bootpartition_LS_arm64_lts_4.19.tgz" that NXP provided is installed in the 2160 device.

Please define CONFIG_INPHI_PHY in Linux Kernel configuration file(.config).

In fact, CONFIG_INPHI_PHY=y is set in the kernel. Please confirm the NXP 2160 whether supports the 25G interfaces (MAC5 and MAC6) could be inserted 10G SFP+ module and work well.

  Thanks !
