Hello,

I just installed LPCexpresso v5.2.4 [Build 2122] [2013-04-29] , and imported all examples for the 12xx.

Because I acutally just wanted to see the 'blinky' project, I removed all projects (from the workspace ?) .

Now, I know it's plain basic, but I cannot find a 'open project' menu entry or button, to open one of these imported examples. I can see that the examples were copied under C:\nxp\LPCXpresso_5.2.4_2122\lpcxpresso\workspace , but I don't see them in LPCxpresso, nor can I re-impor these as they are greyed out.

stupid to get stuck on such a basic thing.

thnx!

Ok thanks - now it's clear to me!

My action of closing all projects made the 'project explorer' also disappear. The 'quick start' tab then 'took over' the screen, so I was confused. If I go to window -> show view - > project explorer, I do see all the imported projects, and I can - as you explain - re-open a project.

Thanks, case closed!

Well, that is closing projects, not deleting them.

To Open a project (that is closed) just right-click and select Open project. Also beware that you can also filter the list of projects in Project Explorer by pressing the the upside-down triangle and selecting Customize View.

You must have done something wrong because it works perfectly here.

How did you 'remove' the projects from the workspace? Delete them from the IDE, delete then from the file system? Close the projects in the IDE?

Hello,

thanks for the quick reply - I tried the steps exactly as you describe, however I cannot select the projects, the flags are disabled (just like the 'select button'), see screenshot attached.

I somehow 'worked around' my issue by deleting my entire workspace, however I don't think this is a solution for many people.

When you deleted them, you only deleted the project and not the actual files on disk. When you come to re-import them, your cannot, because the already exist (on disk) - this is why they are grayed out.

What you need to do is to recover the 'deleted' projects is:
File->Import
Expand General and select "Existing projects into workspace"
Use the Browse button adjacent to the "Select root directory" and select your workspace directory.
All the projects should now be listed and checked
Press Finish
