just tried to run the lpcxpresso on Fedora 19.

Aborted (core dumped)

I updated Fedora 19 to the latest (yum update) and it still behaves the same way.

Installed lpcxpresson from scratch.
On start it comes up with the initial lpcxpresso screen and sets up the working directory and
then it folds.

it crashes with a libsoup error

is there a fix available for this?
Does any other lpcxpresson version to work under Fedora 19?

mat

This is a problem in Eclipse. You can read about it and possible workarounds at
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=404776

(Comment #22 seems to provide a usable workaround).

I added the following to eclipse.ini:

  -Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.DefaultType=mozilla
  -Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/usr/lib/xulrunner

But no change. It is still crashing.  I cannot even get to license it.

Is the fix dependant on what version of mozilla/xulrunner is installed?

On Fedora 19 with the latest update the following is available:
  rpm -q firefox xulrunner eclipse-platform
  firefox-26.0-2.fc19.i686
  xulrunner-26.0-1.fc19.i686
  eclipse-platform-4.3.1-5.fc19.i686

According to the bug report it was supposed to be fix with eclipse-4.3. but it seems not.

Any other workaround available?
Is there a way to configure lpcxpresso to not exercise the steps that make it crash?

Mat

installed LPCXpresso v5.2.6 which fails in the same way (libsoup error) as v6 does
installed  LPCXpresso v4.3.0 which actually starts up after installation and i was able to activate it.
