Usb cdc

Does anyone have any example code that uses USB CDC to enable a virtual com port to the microcontroller itself, and not to its UART.  It is convenient to use a virtual serial port to talk to the microcontroller.  I know I can work from the example USB CDC code to do this, but I wanted to check if someone had done it first.

I've had intermittent problems with that same line, but only in the CDC demo, I believe.  Currently, I have it commented out, and just make sure that no code that might use the USB connection runs before I physically connect  USB.

Max, I trying to use cdc too. But I have problems with "while (!USB_Configuration)", I think that I have something with my hardware because all the LPCXpresso examples didn't work.
I connected the USB_VBUS to USB 5V, I don't you that I must you with USB_Connect...
If you could help me, I will thank you.
