Serial port CDC WinCE 6

Hello,

What is necessary to recognize the device USB serial CDC in WinCE 6?

I use the FTDI chip, but comes with a driver and a .inf file.

Because the chip LPC134x uses a generic implementation not need a driver, only the .inf file to configure the Registry.

Any guidance is appreciated.

The funny thing is that reestablished the original configuration, and I realized that it is installed and configured a serial port, just as does the Microsoft website. Apparently the port is for internal use/debugging.

But changing the PID and VID, solves nothing.

I tried other methods, such as FTDI does:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\USB\LoadClients]
[VID_PID]
[Default]
[Default]
[USBSER_Class]
REG_SZ "Dll"="serialusbfn.dll"

VID and PID in Decimal.

I give up, and I leave the revenge to another.

I am using a laptop: WinCE 7" $80 - $100 (eBay).

I'm trying (unsuccessfully) some indication from Microsoft, but it always appears the message:

This device is not found in the supported USB device table.

I'm changing the PID and VID correctly.

Also a window appears asking: "Driver Name", does not really know what to do. I had never used WinCE before.

If I have success I will report.

Hi Luis,
Don't have the WinCE 6 drivers for the LPC13xx VCOM, but as guidance I attached the .inf files for Win XP and Win 7.
Perhaps with looking at the FTDI driver and Win XP/7 driver for LPC1300 you'll be able to make a .inf-file for WinCE 6.

If it works, could you please post it on the forum?
