Can I use LPCXpresso IDE for hardware other than LPC. I am currently working on a project which has ARM 968 processor,  which has 32 Kbytes of ROM and 32 Kbyte RAM. I want to port the FREERtos, can I use this IDE to do so, If not what are the alternatives to create a image specific to the processor. I want to first port the FREERtos and then build application on it,

Currently supported families for LPCXpresso are LPC1100/LPC1200/LPC1300/LPC1700/LPC1800 and LPC4300. Also the LPC2109/LPC2134/LPC2142/LPC2362/LPC2929/LPC3130/LPC3250 parts are supported.
For all these targets you can use the LPCLink, provided that you have proper pins available on your custom board.
Since the LPC2929 with the ARM968 core is supported, you can use LPCXpresso for a FreeRTOS port.
